Meet Joyful Hearts Preschool
Director & Lead Teacher:
Robin Foster
Robin Foster came to Joyful Hearts Preschool with many years of
experience in Early Childhood Education. She is trained in NAYEC
(National Association for the Education of Young Childr en)
standards. Robin worked with young children and their families for
nine years at KinderCare (formerly Children's Learning World); in both
teaching and administrative functions; culminating with her role as
Assistant Director.
Robin has
very deep convictions around the anti-bias approach to education; having
lived these values all of her life. She has dedicated her
life to ensuring a high-quality education experience for young children
from all backgrounds. Robin has a true passion for working with
children in the classroom. Her role has, therefore, been
structured as a part-time Preschool Director and part-time Lead Teacher.
Above all, Robin’s mission is to share God’s love with little people.
She looks forward to
engaging in a rich experience with local children and their families!

Corinne Richardson

Corinne is no stranger to the classroom; having over 12 years of
teaching experience as a certified elementary school teacher. She
has a Masters of Educational Technology from City University.
Corinne brings a deep understanding of developmentally appropriate
practices for preschool children. She is also not a stranger to
Joyful Hearts Preschool; having had two of her own children attend, and
having spent time volunteering in the JHP classroom! Corinne also

as a parent representative. She is also fluent in Spanish!
Meet Joyful Hearts Preschool Teacher:
Shellie Ferrel

Shellie is a proud mother of two
very energetic children, ages 3 and 5. Before having her own
children, she was a public school teacher. Children have always
intrigued Shellie in how they learn and interact with the people around
them. Teaching kids how to interact and become successful in a social
setting is challenging and exciting because children learn at all
different levels. When asked about working part time and being a stay at
home mom, Shellie often tells people that she took a sabbatical from
full-time teaching to become the student -- learning more than she ever
thought possible from her own children. It is with those lessons that
her children and studies have taught her that Shellie looks forward to
teaching your children at Joyful Hearts Preschool.
