Theme:  Feels Like Fall!

Monthly Objectives/Skills:

  • Language/Literature:  Read a variety of books about Fall.  Develop a love of reading and writing

  • Science/Discovery:  Learn about a plant's life cycle.  Learn about trees; living and non-living

  • Math:  Identify numbers; Practice measuring and estimating skills

  • Creative Art:  Develop an appreciation for art.  Express self through several creative mediums

  • Pro-Social Studies: Develop a classroom community.  Develop a sense of belonging to a group

  • Home/School Connections:  Create a connection between home and school activities

  • Cooking:  Use apples and pumpkins to cook.  Help develop measuring, pouring and estimating skills

  • Music & Movement:  Gain an appreciation for various types of music.  Recognize patterns in music
