Preschool Classes

Joyful Hearts Preschool has employed highly-qualified teachers.  The child-teacher ratio does not exceed seven children to one teacher or teacher assistant/aide; exceeding the standards set by the Washington State and NAEYC (National Association of Education for Young Children)

  •  Tuesday and Thursday

  •  9:00-11:30 am

  •  12:30-3:00 pm (beginning in 2008/2009 school year)

 

 

   4-and 5-year-olds

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday

  •  9:00-11:30 am

  • 12:30 - 3:00 pm (beginning in 2008/2009 school year)

Weather-Related School Closures:

Joyful Hearts Preschool follows the Kent School District

weather-related closure or delays.  However, due to the

hilly, residential location of Joyful Hearts Preschool,

snow and ice can be an even greater challenge for us.

Therefore, there may be days when our preschool will

be closed, due to these local access issues, even though

the Kent School District may not choose to close or

delay.  Every effort will be made to contact parents in this

type of situation.  A notice will also be placed on the

Joyful Hearts Preschool web site home page for weather-

related closure information.

 

If the Kent School District school starting times are delayed

(1 - 2 hours late), there will be NO morning classes for

Joyful Hearts Preschool

 

No School Days for 2007/2008 School Year

October 12:  No School

November 2:  No School

November 12:  Veteran's Day

November 22 - 23:  Thanksgiving

December 20 - January 2:  Winter Vacation

January 21:  Martin Luther King Day

January 30:  No School

February 18 -22:  Presidents' Week

March 7:  No School

April 7 - 11:  Spring Vacation

May 26:  Memorial Day

June 12:  Last day for 3-year-old class

June 13:  Last day for 4/5-year-old class
